Get Connected with God

We were made to be with God. Everything we are, everything we have, comes from God. The people of First United Methodist Church take seriously the need to grow into a deeper relationship with the One who created us. So, with God’s help, we have developed a variety of worship, study, and prayer opportunities to move us along in that life-long journey. The following areas of discipleship-building can provide a doorway to a closer walk with God:

  • Sundays at First UMC

On Sunday mornings, we have three different services with a variety of worship styles ranging from traditional to contemporary.  Later in the evening at 5pm, we have Bible studies, children and youth activities, and a fellowship meal. We occasionally have different event and schedule changes throughout the year, so please check back here for updates to our worship schedule***.

  • Wednesday Vespers

Please join us for a weekly communion service that is held every Wednesday at 5:30pm! This is a smaller service where we openly share our prayer concerns, hear the word proclaimed, and gather together at the Lord's table. Childcare is not normally provided during this worship service, but can be arranged through contacting Erika Woodling, Coordinator of Infant and Toddler Care to make your reservation. Please contact Rev. Gary Heaton for more information on this service!

The Vespers Service will be taking a break during the summer.
The last service before our summer hiatus will be on May 29.
The service will resume at some point in the fall.
