August 12, 2022, will mark the fifth anniversary of the deadly Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville.

On that day, The Daily Progress plans to issue a pledge to take a stand against white supremacy, hate, and racism in all forms while committing to be a platform "that seeks out meaningful dialogue in an effort to create a community that is safe and inclusive for all".
